It is no secret that men can be difficult to shop for. Why is this? Maybe because we have a tendency to purchase things as we need them, rather than waiting for our birthday or a holiday to roll around. Or maybe it's because we tend to be a little less vocal about things that we'd like to receive. Regardless of the reason, it is a well known fact that our gender has been stumping people in the gift-giving category for years. With the internet being what it is today though, it is easier than ever to find really unique and interesting gifts for men. Here are a few ideas.
For a man who regularly donates to charities and is interested in making a global difference, a great option is to consider making a donation to charity in his name. At Oxfam America Unwrapped, you can pick from a selection of gifts that will be donated to an impoverished family in Central America, South America, Africa or Asia. For example, for $40, you can donate 12 chicks. You'll then receive a card with the image of your specific charitable gift that you can give to your gift recipient. You can also choose from non-animal items if you wish, such as a mosquito net to help keep people safe and healthy.
If the man in your life already has a full closet of clothing, and loves to be the best dressed man in the room, lavish him with some nice accessories. A beautiful pair of cuff links along with unique tie accessoriesis a perfect, classic gift. For the well dressed man who is also a traditionalist, he will love an old-school shaving kit with a stainless steel straight razor and a shaving brush.
For the animal loving man, how about symbolically adopting an endangered species through the World Wildlife Federation? Then perhaps he would appreciate a selection of classic movies on DVD, or a universal remote. If he likes to snooze in the bedroom, perhaps a new set of nice down pillows or comforter is in order. If he loves to hang out in the kitchen, you can't go wrong with a great set of kitchen knives, or an interesting kitchen gadget such as an espresso maker or juicer. If all else fails, remember that the way to every man's heart is through his stomach. Food gifts are always a great option, too!
