Thierry Mugler's Angel Innocent perfume is not the famous photographer's first sensual creation. Thierry Mugler launched his first perfume in 1992: 'Angel' perfume was a sensation and an instant hit across Europe and the US. With its chocolaty, buttery tones it was a unique perfume at the time, and still boasts one of the most distinctive global scents.
Angel Perfume was designed as a head-turning and distinctive fragrance, and was an instant hit as an evening fragrance. With Angel Innocent, Thierry Mugler aimed to 'soften' the fragrance... Angel Innocent maintains the attitude and distinctiveness of the original Angel Perfume, but Thierry Mugler has turned it into the perfect daytime or night-time scent.
Angel Innocent still has the dark undertones of rich musk and amber, but these are now overlaid with pure mandarin, blackcurrant, honey and fresh almond: Thierry Mugler succeeded in creating a truly sensual scent.
In the master perfumer's own words: "Innocent Perfume evokes the temptations of childhood, and happiness. It portrays a mischievous and impish angel, vivacious and impertinent with its sparkling fragrance, full of joie de vivre."
